Monday: First Dress

Thanks, everyone, for a great tech!

Tonight's call is at 6 PM. We know a couple of you won't be out of class by then, but come over directly. We'll be starting as soon after 6 as we can.

Tonight is full dress. Be sure to ask me any questions about your costumes before we start.

Saturday: Sonnets

Tonight will be a Shakespearean Sonnet Night from 6-9 at the Gallery. If you are free, think about coming in. You can read your favorite sonnet, share some Shakespeare-inspired poetry of your own, or write a sonnet (we'll teach you how) to win prizes. Give Liz a call if you plan to make it.

Art Walk!

Tonight is Art Walk! Those of you who will be participating, please be at the gallery by 6 PM (except for MacBeth) to get into costume and look over the run list.

We'll be doing a mix of scenes, character work, and fight choreography. If you have a new idea of something you'd like to do, let me know by email today or when you show up tonight, and we'll incorporate you into the run.

Tuesday: Work First Half

Good afternoon! Tonight at 7, we will work the first half of the show. Everyone except Siward and Young Siward is called.

Monday, May 9: Work Second Half

Prepare yourselves! Tonight at 7 PM at the Gallery, we will be working the second half of the show (page 51 on).

Called are Ross, Lennox, Witch 1 (we know you'll be late), Witch 2, Witch 3, MacBeth, Seyton, Murderer, Malcolm, MacDuff, Siward, Young Siward, Fleance (we know you'll be late, too), and Lady MacBeth.

It's also Build the Set Week at your local gallery. This week and next, any day during the day, please come to the gallery to help with building/painting the set, sewing costumes, hanging lights, and fixing up tech. Before you get there, call Dan or Liz to be sure that someone is there. Thanks!

Friday: Run-Through

Wednesday: Wear a Sweater

Hello, all!

Tonight at 7 PM, we will run the fourth quarter, pages 59 to the end. Called are Lady MacDuff, Ross, Seyton, Murderer (if you can get out of Superstar), Malcolm, MacDuff, Siward, Young Siward, Ross, Fleance, Lady MacBeth, Macbeth, and Lennox.

Fighters, please wear a sweater. We will pantomime the fights indoors and then go outside to work them. You may want gloves as well.
Reminder for those of you who have been asleep: we're still at the Good Beans today. We'll be back at the Gallery tomorrow.

Tuesday, May 3: First Quarter

Goooooooood afternoon.

Today at 7, we will work the first quarter: pages 1 to 19. If you're in that section, you're called. I'm looking at you, Witch 1, Witch 2, Witch 3, Duncan, Malcolm, Lennox, Fleance, Ross, MacBeth, Banquo, Lady MacBeth, Seyton, MacDuff, and Lady MacDuff.

Monday, May 2: Second Quarter

Friday, April 29: MCC Auditorium

Hello, all.

Tonight's rehearsal will be in the auditorium at Mott Community College. Call me or Dan if you need directions.

Everyone except Lady MacDuff and the Murderer is called at 7 PM. We will be doing a full run-through. Remember: tonight is OFF BOOK!

Some of you (Witches, Mr. and Mrs. MacBeth, MacDuff) have agreed to show up around 6:15 to have your pictures taken by Todd. Please call me if you're running behind.

Thursday, April 28

Tonight's plan is to be a the Gallery - the installation should be gone by rehearsal time.


We'll start with all fighters except Siward and the Murderer at 7 PM (this means MacBeth, MacDuff, Young Siward, Banquo, and Fleance).

At 8, we'll add Lady MacDuff, Seyton, Ross, Lennox, Lady MacBeth, and Malcolm.
We'll be working 3.3, 3.4, and Acts 4 and 5.


Fleance, we know you'll be late. Siward, call after your exam - I'm fairly certain we'll still be working.

Wednesday, April 27

Tonight, we will be working 1.6, 2.3, 3.1, 2.1, and 2.4. Call is 7 PM for Lady MacBeth, Duncan, Malcolm, Banquo, Lennox, MacDuff, MacBeth, Lady MacDuff, Fleance, and Seyton.

Tuesday, April 26

Tonight will be another witch-intensive rehearsal! We'll start at 7 PM with all three Witches, MacBeth, Ross, Lennox, and Banquo. We'll hit 1.1, 1.3, 3.5, 4.1, and the raising of Banquo's body. We'll also work Ross and Lennox in 3.6.

At 9:00, we'll add Duncan, Malcolm, and Fleance for 1.2 and 1.4.

Monday, April 25

Tonight's calls:

MacBeth Table Read

Welcome, new readers. Tonight's read-through will be at Buckham Gallery at 7 PM. Everyone is called except Lady Macbeth, Banquo, Murderer, and Fleance. We'll pick up after our intermission and read through the remainder of the show. All fighters will stay afterwards to work with Dan.

Awesome last show, alles. We had to turn away at least twelve people, which is bittersweet.

Be sure to reset your clocks - Daylight Savings would have to start the day we strike. Call is 10 AM for everyone except Christy Banks. I'll try to put you all on different crews so that we get everything taken care of as quickly as possible. Expect to work for at least two hours!

Monday, Feb. 28: First Dress

Call tonight is 6 PM for everyone. We'll go as soon as we can. It's first dress, so be ready for all of your costume changes (for many of you, these are at intermission).

Today is tech. We open in five days (counting today). Surprise!

Call is 10 AM. We'll start with a cue-to-cue, break for a bit to regroup, then do a full run-through. It's still snowing out, so please take the roads into consideration; stay safe, try not to be late, and call me if you run into trouble or delays.

Tonight is another full run-through at the Good Beans. First dress isn't till Monday, but those of you who have costume changes may want to start working the changes to be sure that you have enough time.

Call time is 7 PM for everyone except Tresa. Tresa, you talked to me a few weeks ago about not being able to come in today through Friday, but let me know if you were able to take any time off.

Tuesday, Feb. 22: Two Runs

Tonight, everyone is called at the Good Beans at 7, when we will be starting the first of two run-throughs. I recommend being a bit early. No scripts in hand. I will have most props set out - alert me if you are missing something.

The roads are still fairly crappy, so we will be cancelling rehearsal Monday, Feb. 21.

What this means for your week:

Tomorrow, Feb. 22, we will be doing a dual run-through. Be ready to begin the first run at 7:00; once we're done, we'll reset and do it all again. Study your lines today - no scripts in hand tomorrow for any part, even monologues.

We will be working the show, but we'll probably run it out of order, letting people go as their parts are done. After the rehearsal, you may want to come by The Zoo on Saginaw St. to check out the second half of tonight's burlesque show. The Fischer Bodies will love it if you do!

Tuesday, Feb. 15: OFF BOOK

Happy Feast Day of St. Skeletor, everyone!

Today is our off-book run-through. Everyone is called at the cafe at 7PM. We'll do some notes first, possibly fix a couple of blocking things, and then head into our run. I will have most of the props for the show (or their stand-ins), too.

Monday, Feb. 14: Happy VD (it hurts to pee)!

For tonight, we're at the Good Beans - we'll be working some fights first and then attempting to plow our way through the entire show! Awesome! We may end up skipping a couple of scenes because of our missing people, but we'll probably have volunteers (or me) read in so we can get a good time for the show.



If you haven't already, please bring in some clothes tonight that you think will work for your costume. I'll email you individually with any requests we have. Think of things you believe are in character.

Hi, everyone! Sorry for the late post - I got wrapped up in designing costumes and trying to decide if fall-front trousers looked too Colonial American for Evido to wear.
