Wednesday, Jan. 13: First Third Text Work

Tonight's rehearsal will start at 6 PM at the FCP Workshop. We will still be seated and reading; we'll work the text in more depth. If you have any questions about what you or anyone else is saying, tonight is the best time to ask.

Call list for tonight:

6 PM: Paper Boy, Citizen 2, Sampson, Balthasar, Benvolio, Tybalt, Capulet, Montague, Prince, Guard 1, Paris, Peter, Nurse, Lady 1, Lady 2, Servant 1, Servant 2, Juliet, and Romeo.

7 PM: Lady Montague and Abraham

8 PM: Lady Capulet

Others, of course, are welcome. Scene rehearsals will almost always be open to cast members (but not to those outside the cast); fight rehearsals, for safety reasons, will almost always be closed to those not called.

There will be a definition list on the call board tonight; there are blank spaces on it, so if you have a word or phrase you don't know and you can't catch me or Dan, write it in the blank (in perfect anonymity) and we'll have the definition written in by the next rehearsal.

The volunteer lists will stay up on the call board; if you decide to add yourself to one of the lists, awesome!

Second Read

First read went quite nicely! Thanks for all your work last night. We will pick up where we left off (after the intermission break, p. 54) tonight at the FCP Workshop. Please expect to continue working after we read the second half, as it is shorter than the first.

Please note that I will be using your character names and not your real names on online call lists (to discourage stalkers).

Everyone is called at 6 PM with these exceptions:
Exempt from call are Mercutio, Gregory, Lady 1, Lady 3, and Guard 1.
Romeo is called at 6:30.
Paper Boy and Abraham are called at 7:00.
Lady C and Sampson are called at 8:00.

Anyone who would like to bring in coffee, sugar, creamers, or other kitchen supplies for general use would be warmly thanked.
Please give me a call with any questions/problems.

Romeo and Juliet Begins

Hello, all.

For those of you who are new to the online call board, welcome! This blog is updated every rehearsal day with schedules, schedule changes, general notes, and anything else that you would normally find on the call board. A few things that you would find on the physical call board (handwritten notes, printouts to take home, pronunciation guides, etc.) may not make it on here, but the vital information will.

Note: this is not a replacement for the call board. However, the online call board will be correct as of 5:00 PM each night. Anything added to the standard call board after 5 PM might not be updated online till the next day.

Also, commenting on this blog if you have a question or conflict does not replace calling the stage manager. If you have an urgent question or think you will be late, be sure to call!

On to the schedule!

The first read-through for Romeo and Juliet will be Monday, January 11 at 6 PM at the FCP Workshop. The second read will be the 12th at 6 PM (same place). Everyone is called both nights. If you have any questions or problems, call or email Liz as soon as possible. You do not need to print out the script; we will have copies for you on site.

See you then!
